The first step is always the hardest. Whether you’re changing career, getting back into exercise, making a big life decision, (or trying to start a blog) it can seem very daunting. However a challenge is not something to avoid but to embrace, change is good for us.
On that note, I’d been toying with the idea of blogging for a good long year although never pursuing it seriously, such a big change was intimidating to me. However a couple of weeks ago I reassessed the whole thing and decided to stop making excuses and just go for it. I’m a very all or nothing kind of person.
I’ve always enjoyed taking photographs, writing and making things aesthetically pleasing, so what better than blogging right? After leaving midway through my uni course and now working part time I really miss being creative. Hopefully blogging will give me that outlet to share the ideas I’ve got scribbled down and to kick start my creativity again. I already have some posts planned that I can’t wait to share with you all. The main focus will be centred around personal styling with some lifestyle and beauty posts thrown in for good measure. I thought I’d start off easy and share my ootd. Today was a very casual look as I was running a few errands in town – comfort being the main factor taken into consideration.
Now I’m a big fan of an all black ensemble, but these all white adidas originals really make the outfit and add that contrast. I pieced together some ripped jeans and a loose vest (thats been in my wardrobe for years), topped off with a staple black wool coat. Simple but effective. When it comes to jewellery I do admit to being a creature of habit, I wear my cherished Great Frog jewellery everyday with no regrets. They’re beautifully hand crafted, exceptionally detailed and add an edge to any outfit! Last but not least some sunglasses made it into the mix today as the sun decided to make an appearance. These tortoise-shell reflective sunnies are among my favourites, so if the weather holds out you’ll be seeing more of them in my posts.
If my camera shy photos didn’t put you off too much and you enjoyed my first post, please bare with me for the next one. I will endeavour to keep creating new and exciting content, and continue to learn more about the blogging community. Thank you for reading.
